Since its inception in 2010, a key goal of the Catskill Environmental Research & Monitoring (CERM) Conference has been to support student researchers interested in working in the Catskills. The Student Research Breakfast Symposium was designed with that in mind.
Interested students and faculty will hear:
- A broad overview of the rich history of research in the Catskills, and how student research work can build on that history;
- What research topics are of highest priority for Catskills resource managers, as potential topics for student research projects;
- What new funding is available for student environmental research; and
- How previous student researchers managed their projects.
A limited number of conference scholarships are available for students to attend the research breakfast and CERM conference.
Scholarship information and registration for this event will be announced in 2025.
